The Slanted Door first opened in San Francisco in 1995 with the goal to serve quality Vietnamese food in a modern setting. The Slanted Door expanded to the city of San Ramon at Renzo Piano–designed City Center Bishop Ranch in 2019.
TIM WONG, CHEF DE CUISINE
Born and raised in Hayward, California. Tim attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. His first job was at Claremont Resort and Spa in Berkeley, CA where he workED his way up to the role of Sous Chef. Before joining Slanted Door San Ramon, he was an Executive Sous Chef for Intel CORPORATE headquarters. Tim JOINED SLANTED DOOR IN 2018 AS a critical member of the san ramon opening team, ALONGSIDE EXECUTIVE CHEF DONG CHOI. With his focus on quality and teamwork, TIM was quickly promoted to Slanted Door San Ramon’s Chef de Cuisine. When he is not working, he enjoys traveling with his wife and 3 kids, bike rides, And adventurous outdoor activities.
