| PRIVATE EVENTS
Thank you for your interest in The Slanted Door. We offer a couple of different options for groups wishing to hold special events at our restaurant. Our private dining room can accommodate up to 20 guests for a quiet sit-down dinner, while our lounge is offered for groups of 20-50 who are looking for a more casual environment in which to gather.
THE PRIVATE DINING ROOM
We have a small, glass-enclosed room, available to those interested in a more private atmosphere offering lovely views of Treasure Island and the Bay.
Capacity
The largest group reservation we are able to accommodate in our private dining room is 20 people. Unfortunately, we do not break up group reservations larger than twenty.
Once again, our private dining room seats an absolute maximum capacity of 20 chairs.
Minimums & Seatings
Minimums are based on the food and beverage totals. Minimums exclude tax and gratuity. Tax is currently 8.5%; a 20% gratuity is added.
Lunch:$1000 food & beverage minimum, exclusive of tax & gratuity, apply to the following seatings:
Seating start times include:
11:00am
11:30am
12:00pm
(seatings between 12:00 & 1:00pm can be arranged with a $1200 minimum)
1:00pm
1:30pm with a firm 4:00pm exit (1:30pm is the latest possible lunch seating)
Dinner: We offer the following seatings and respective minimums:
5:30 pm start time with a firm 8:00 pm exit
$1500 food & beverage minimum, exclusive of tax & gratuity
6:00 pm start time with a firm 8:30 pm exit
$1500 food & beverage minimum, exclusive of tax & gratuity
6:30, 7:00, or 7:30pm seating with no set exit time (i.e., BUYOUT of the room)
$2500 food & beverage minimum, exclusive of tax & gratuity
8:15 pm seating with no set exit time
$2000 food & beverage minimum, exclusive of tax & gratuity
8:45 pm seating until closing
$1500 food & beverage minimum, exclusive of tax & gratuity
Room charges only apply when the minimum is not reached, making up the difference (usually parties less than 15 people).
Menus
We offer family-style prix-fixe menus customized by each party to suit their event. Lunch menus in the private dining room start at $40 per person for 7 courses. Dinner menus start at $63 per person for 10 courses.

A sommelier is always available to help with recommendations and questions you may have about our wine list.
THE LOUNGE
We offer the lounge to be reserved for semi-private cocktail and appetizer receptions every evening.
Capacity
The minimum party size required to reserve the lounge is 20 guests. The lounge can hold no more than 50 people.
Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve the lounge for groups smaller than 20.
Timing
The lounge is reserved for three-hour periods. Food is served during the first 2 hours. After the 3rd hour, the host must settle the bill, however their guests are more than welcome to stay and enjoy no-host service.
Menu
We work with a unique menu created by the chef exclusively for lounge events with many specialty items not normally offered on our regular menus. The minimum lounge menu required for a reservation starts at $45 per person with 7 different dishes of your choosing.
Drink Minimum
For all lounge reservations we require a 2-drink minimum per person, based on the price of a house cocktail (currently $10).
Service Charges
Because lounge parties require extra service staff, as well as kitchen staff, to ensure a smooth and seamless event, there are additional service charges plus a 20% gratuity. These charges depend on the number of guaranteed guests expected and the group's personal needs.
PRIVATE EVENT POLICIES
We accept a 25% deposit and have a 7-day cancellation policy. Any cancellations made within 7 days of the confirmed reservation date are charged at 25% of the agreed-upon minimum, which is non-refundable.
To book a reservation, a credit card number must be submitted. There are no guaranteed reservations for the private dining room without a confirmation number from The Slanted Door.
